Casa Canem is located at the foot of Badacsony Mountain, about 400 meters from Lake Balaton, on the outskirts of Badacsonytomaj, surrounded by nature on a 0.4-hectare vineyard. Our guesthouse has set itself the pioneering goal of introducing the Italian-style agriturismo to Badacsony, preserving and highlighting local traditions and the role of Badacsony as a historic wine region, promoting local winemaking methods and history, and providing its guests with an authentic, exclusive opportunity to relax all year round.

Bustling countryside

Far from the noise of the city, there is no need to fear the boredom of rural life, as everyone can find their perfect relaxation in Badacsonytomaj and its surroundings. Casa Canem offers a sense of peace and tranquility, but if you want to venture out, just a 10-minute drive away, in Káptalantóti, where you can sample the finest local delicacies at one of the country's oldest and most famous farmers' markets on Sundays, while the beach at Badacsonytomaj is only a 5-minute walk away. However, if you don't want to leave the guesthouse, there is an infrared sauna available for guests in the spa area.

Sailing on Lake Balaton

When you think of Lake Balaton, you think of beaches, lángos, and boat trips! The Badacsonytomaj boat station is only a 5-minute drive from Casa Canem, which is the perfect starting point for longer boat trips on Lake Balaton. You can visit Szigliget Castle, sail over to Fonyód for some mouth-watering lángos, or, if you're feeling more adventurous, set out to explore the Tihany Peninsula.

Wine tasting and cellar tour

The wine press house, built more than 200 years ago, is home to our wine tastings, where our guests can sample wines from our own vineyards paired with themed dishes. A tour of the cellar is an outstanding experience in itself, taking you back to the end of the 18th century and giving you a glimpse into the architectural and interior design styles of the period. During the renovation, we paid special attention to maintaining the authentic appearance of the building and restoring the furnishings and fixtures.

Between August 21, 2025, and September 15, 2025, all guests who book at least three nights will receive the fourth night free of charge.

ROOMS

In keeping with the name Casa Canem, our rooms are named after dog breeds that are dear to us, such as Foxi, Puli, Dachshund, Pointer, Schnauzer, and Setter.

Our three-story guest house has four rooms on the first floor, each with two beds, and two rooms in the attic, each with four beds. Each room has a private bathroom with a toilet, and two of the rooms on the first floor are equipped with pivot doors, so they can be easily connected. Upon prior agreement, the entire guest house can be booked, please inquire about the details by phone or e-mail.

First floor - Dachshund and Pointer rooms

Our first floor rooms are between 20 and 30 square meters in size, equipped with loft beds measuring 180*200 cm with 25 cm thick mattresses, private bathrooms with built-in showers, and views of Lake Balaton and our vineyard. All rooms are equipped with blinds, can be darkened, and are soundproofed.

Our Foxi room has a 60 square meter private terrace with a 180-degree view of Lake Balaton, and our Puli and Foxi rooms can be connected.
