Presentation of the supported project: Kutyák Borház Kft. aims to preserve and highlight local traditions and the role of Badacsony as a historic wine region by introducing Italian-style agritourism to Badacsony in a pioneering way. promoting local winemaking methods and history, and providing cost-effective, authentic, exclusive opportunities throughout the year for wine tourism service providers in Badacsony and the surrounding area to hold smaller events and for producers of high-quality products to showcase their wares on a permanent basis.
The project developed by Kutyák Borház Kft. involves the renovation of a museum-quality wine press house in Badacsony, built in 1798, which is one of the oldest gravity cellars in the region and has been owned by our company's managing director's family for more than three hundred years. As company leaders, we have gained experience since 2016 in individual farming on our estate in Paloznak, focusing on traditional values and highlighting local characteristics in wine production. After this, we decided to implement a complex wine tourism development project in our Badacsony area with the aim of building community.
The aim of our project is to renovate this impressive historical monument, located just 400 meters from Lake Balaton, along with its viewing terrace, and then return it to the public, enriching Badacsony's range of tourist destinations with another unmissable venue, community and event space, and high-quality service package.
We envisioned a welcoming venue that fits into the landscape and spirit of the area, serving the growing demands of wine connoisseurs, families seeking an authentic Badacsony experience, and cycling tourists. The wine press house will offer storage and wine barrel rental services, while the residential building on the site will be converted into a four-star apartment-style guesthouse with a capacity of 16-20 people, featuring a tasteful wellness area, a plunge pool, and views of the cellar and the lake.
We are convinced that the cooperation under the attached agreement will not only promote the success of our project, but also help to popularize the wines offered by the winery, effectively reach the target audience, and increase local revenues by improving Badacsony's ability to attract visitors, thereby strengthening the region's position in the tourism industry.
