Casa Canem, built in 1798, is a museum-quality wine press house in Badacsony and one of the oldest gravity cellars in the region, owned by our company's managing director's family for over three hundred years. As company leaders, we have been gaining experience in traditional wine-making that emphasizes local characteristics on our estate in Paloznak since 2016. After this, we decided to implement a complex wine tourism development project in our Badacsony area with the intention of building community.

Our goal is to renovate this impressive historical monument, located just 400 meters from Lake Balaton, along with its viewing terrace, and return it to the public, enriching the range of tourist destinations in Badacsony with another unmissable location, community and event space, and a high-quality service package.

We envisioned a welcoming venue that blends in with the landscape and spirit of the area, serving wine connoisseurs, families seeking an authentic Badacsony experience, and the growing demand for cycling tourism. The wine press house offers storage and wine barrel rental, while the residential building on the premises has been converted into a four-star guest house with accommodation for 16-20 people, featuring a tasteful wellness area, sunbathing and barbecue terrace, playground and enclosed parking, with a view of the cellar and the lake.

We are convinced that our project can promote the wines offered by local wineries, effectively reach the target audience, and increase local revenues by improving Badacsony's ability to attract visitors, thereby strengthening the region's position in the tourism industry. Casa Canem combines traditional and modern features, catering to the highest demands of 21st-century guests, far from the noise of the city, in one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Balaton, at the foot of Badacsony Hill, with a perfect view of the lake.
